NHEG Contests

We have several NHEG contests that students in elementary, high school and even college participate in and win cash prizes based on their entries. This includes essay and poetry writing, art, photography and even song writing.

Requirements 

  • Can be on any subject that the student feels is important to them!
  • Between 500 to 1000 words.

Your poem can be of any theme that you’re most comfortable with for this contest.

  • Open to the artist’s interpretation!
  • Can be a painting, drawing, sculture or other forms of art work.

Requirements 

  • Open to songwriters of all ages
  • Must be “family friendly”
  • Original Lyrics

You may be invited to share your song with our group!

Contest Rules

  • All Contests are open to public
  • Original artwork will NOT be returned!
  • All works must be the work of the student entering the contests; help with proofreading and some editing is allowed.
  • All essays and poems should be typed, in at least 12 point font, and single spaced.
  • All works must be mailed to:

  • Check should be made payable to:
    The New Heights Educational Group, Inc.
  • Attach a note with information on which contest you’re entering.
    Example: Note – Art or Note – Poetry
  • Entry Fee $15 per item

Submission Guidelines

  1. Each work must have a title.
  2. Each author may enter up to five works. Each work requires a separate entry fee.
  3. Only one poem or song per page.
  4. The student’s name and phone number should appear at the top or bottom of each page. No other from of identification should appear on these pages.
  5. The student’s full name, date of birth, grade level and contact information including email and phone number should be on a separate sheet of paper.

Judging

  1. All entries submitted by September 30, 2017.
  2. All works will be evaluated by a panel of judges appointed by NHEG.
  3. All works will be judged on a number of different things.
  4. Judges will be persons that do not have a relationship with any of the contestants.
  5. The decisions of the judges are final.
  6. Results of the contest will be released by the end of the month in which the contest ends.

  • You grant New Heights Educational Group, Inc. the right to publish all or part of your submission.
  • You agree to all rules and the decisions of the judges and sponsors.
  • New Heights Educational Group, Inc. is not responsible for any lost, damaged, misdirected, delayed, mutilated, incomplete, illegible, or postage-due entries or mail.
  • All profits from this contest will go to NHEG.
  • All winners will be announced on our website and will receive a letter or certificate of recognition and prize by mail and a phone call.
